A journalist was killed in Uruzgan

A local journalist named Ehsanullah Pashtun was killed in the Safid Khar area in the center of Uruzgan, Tarinkot.

Bilal Uruzgani, the spokesperson for the provincial police headquarters, says that Pashtun was killed on Tuesday afternoon in a conflict over land between two families.

Uruzgani says that four people have been arrested on suspicion of killing Pashtun and are under interrogation and investigation.

Journalists in the area also confirm the incident and say that Pashtun was killed in a conflict over land.

One of Pashtun’s colleagues, Ehsanullah Wolasmal, says that his colleague lost his life when a fight broke out between two families and they fired shots at each other.

In the southern Afghanistan, disputes over land and irrigation often turn into bloody conflicts. In a similar incident in the Panjwayi district of Kandahar, one person was killed and two others were injured.
