Nomads shoot dead Hazara youth in Maidan Wardak
Local sources in Hessa-Awal Behsud district of Maidan Wardak province say that armed nomads have shot dead a Hazara youth.
At least two sources told Tahawul that the young man was named Mujtaba Naqvi and was killed at around 11:00 am (Tuesday, August 27) in the Shahr-e-Niroo area of Hessa-Awal Behsud district.
The source emphasized that Mujtaba was shot and killed by armed nomads after he prevented the nomads from raiding his farms.
The conflict between nomads and villagers in Behsud districts of Maidan Wardak province has a long history.
Previously, armed nomads have repeatedly raided the farms of residents of Hessa-Awal and Doom Behsud districts with their livestock, clashed with local residents, and killed a number of people.
After the Taliban regained control over Afghanistan, legal disputes between nomads and Hazara people have increased in various provinces, including Maidan Wardak and Bamyan.
The Taliban have settled many of these legal disputes in favor of the nomads, including yesterday, after a legal dispute in favor of the nomads in Bamyan was settled, they evicted 25 families from the village of “Rashk Pashta Gharghari”.
