ISIS claimed responsibility for the shooting of foreign tourists in Bamyan.

The ISIS group claimed responsibility for the deadly attack in Bamyan on Friday, which targeted foreign tourists and their local companions.

In a statement, the group said its fighters targeted foreigners and Shiites.

The statement mentioned that as a result of the attack, 7 foreign tourists and 5 “Hazara Shiites” were killed and injured.

On Friday, a deadly shooting in central Bamyan killed 6 people, including three Spanish nationals.

This comes as the Taliban have consistently dismissed the presence of ISIS as media propaganda and denied its existence.
