50% of radio broadcasts in Afghanistan have been stopped
While the International Radio Day is approaching, some media support organizations say that 50 percent of radio stations in Afghanistan have collapsed due to the rule of the Taliban.
The Afghan Journalists’ Support Organization said in a message today that since the last two years, radio broadcasts in Afghanistan have been limited and a large number of radio journalists, like other journalists, have also lost their jobs.
This media organization has given statistics that before the overthrow of the presidency, there were 438 radio stations in Afghanistan. But when the Taliban came to power, fifty percent of these radio stations were stopped.
