The Hague court has set a new time to review South Africa’s complaint against Israel for genocide

The International Court of Justice based in The Hague, Netherlands, commonly known as The Hague Court, has determined a new time to review the case of Israel’s genocide presented to this court by South Africa. This court announced yesterday, Thursday, May 14, that it will hold hearings on Friday and Saturday, May 15 and 16, at the urgent request of South Africa, to examine the case of Israel’s genocide. South Africa has submitted this request to pursue Israel’s attack on the heavily crowded city of Rafah to the court. Following the deadlock of ceasefire negotiations in Cairo, which Israel is believed to be the perpetrator of, the country has launched extensive attacks in Rafah, where over 1.4 million Palestinian refugees reside. These attacks have sparked increasing international criticism and protests, criticism that Israel has not been affected by with the support of the United States. In another incident reported on Tuesday, May 13, some Israelis, referred to by Western media as protesters, raided aid caravans for Palestinian refugees and destroyed and set fire to relief supplies. South Africa, in response to Israel’s extensive attacks on the Gaza Strip in retaliation for Hamas attacks, accused the country of genocide and officially requested an investigation into the matter by the International Court of Justice in The Hague.
