
An explosion of a mine in Uruzgan claimed the life of one deminer
Police sources have reported that in Uruzgan province, an explosion resulted in one fatality and one injury due to a mine blast.
According to a spokesman for the Taliban’s security command in Uruzgan, the explosion occurred this morning, Tuesday 25th of Thawr/14th of May, in the “Khoramayi” area of the Terinkot district, the capital of the province. As a result, one employee of the Halo Trust mine clearance organization was killed and another was injured.
Uruzgan officials have stated that the injured individual has been transferred to a hospital. No details have been provided about the extent of their injuries or their condition.
