Taliban Leader: I Call for Acceleration of Efforts to “Invite People to the Sharia System”

In his message on the occasion of Eid al-Adha, Taliban leader Mullah Haibatullah Akhundzada has called for accelerating the efforts of the group’s ministries to promote righteous deeds and invite people to the Sharia system.
In the message, which was published today (Wednesday, June 4), Haibatullah Akhundzada emphasized the “good activities and services” of the Taliban trial for implementing the Sharia system and said that the ministries of Guidance, Hajj and Endowments, Enjoining Righteousness and Forbidding Evil, Education and Higher Education should also make great efforts to accelerate their work together with scholars and influential people in the field of inviting people, promoting righteous deeds and inviting people to the Sharia system within the framework of their responsibilities.
In this message, the Taliban leader called the “real Sharia system and the implementation of Sharia rules in society” the goal of the Taliban and the group’s war.
He also asked the group’s officials in part of his message to apply Sharia law first to themselves and then to others.
Haibatullah Akhundzada said that religious scholars in society have a great responsibility towards everyone.
The Taliban leader added that elders and influential people should have a common position in favor of the Sharia system, the people, and the homeland, and should create a mindset in their analyses, research, speeches, writings, and recommendations.
Mullah Haibatullah also emphasized obedience to his orders in his Eid message, saying: “Obey the orders and rulings of the Amir; because it is necessary and obligatory, you must all observe them and everyone should move forward within the framework of obedience.”
He also asked the Taliban administration to provide more support and better conditions for traders and industrialists.
The Taliban leader also mentioned the deportation of refugees in his message, adding that the Ministry of Refugees and Repatriates and other organizations should work to provide services to returnees and resettle them.
It should be noted that the Taliban leader did not mention the situation of Afghan women and girls in his message.
The group has imposed severe restrictions on women. Currently, Afghan women and girls are deprived of their basic freedoms and rights, including the right to education, work, and free movement.
