Australia to its citizens: Do not travel to Afghanistan

The Australian Foreign Ministry has recently reiterated its warning against traveling to Afghanistan and urged its citizens not to travel to the country.

Yesterday (Tuesday, June 3), Australia issued a statement saying that the situation in Afghanistan under Taliban control is “extremely dangerous” and that there is a high threat of terrorism and kidnapping throughout the country.
The country has advised its citizens to avoid traveling to Afghanistan.

The Australian travel advice website also wrote in its advisory that if you travel to Afghanistan, there is a very high risk of being the target of a terrorist attack or kidnapping.

The note warns that there is no guarantee that foreign visitors will be safe in Afghanistan.
A number of other countries have also advised their citizens to ban travel to Afghanistan.

However, the Taliban-controlled Statistics and Information Department claims that in the first two months of the current solar year 1404 (April and May 2025), it recorded the entry and exit of 5,078 foreign nationals through checkpoints and airports.
