
A Young Man Dies in Mazar-i-Sharif Due to Taliban Beating
According to reliable sources in Balkh province, the Taliban attacked several individuals in front of the Iranian consulate in Mazar-i-Sharif, resulting in the death of a young man due to severe beating by the Taliban.
The young man, identified as Ataullah, was a resident of the village of “Chaghatak” in Almar district of Faryab province. Sources reported that Ataullah was attacked yesterday (Saturday, 8 March) in front of the Iranian consulate in Mazar-i-Sharif. He was initially injured but succumbed to his wounds after being taken to the hospital.
Sources added that Ataullah was in the process of applying for an Iranian visa. The Taliban reportedly targeted individuals gathered in front of the consulate for visa purposes, assaulting them violently.
Sources emphasized that the condition of six injured individuals remains critical, and they are currently undergoing treatment. So far, local Taliban officials in Balkh have not commented on the incident.
