The leader of the Taliban has set a salary of five thousand Afghanis for female government employees

Hibatullah Akhundzada, the leader of the Taliban, has issued an order setting a salary of five thousand Afghanis for female government employees who have been sent home since the Taliban came to power.

This order from the Taliban leader, a copy of which has reached the media, has been conveyed to other departments in a letter from the Taliban’s administrative office.

The letter states that the salary for female employees of all government departments, who were hired by the previous government and are receiving salaries from the current government, should be set at five thousand Afghanis.

A source in the Taliban’s Ministry of Finance confirmed the validity of this order and said that it applies to those female employees who have been sent home. The source added that female employees who are still working will receive their full salaries.
